Dear Visitor,
Have you managed to complete your HS2 Consultation response form yet? If you have you might like to read and then send off an attachment for Question 7 which details a fair and just compensation scheme. This scheme was overwhelming supported by those who responded to the consultation on the Exceptional Hardship Compensation Scheme. We need to make sure we ask for it again this time round. This attachment can be posted to HS2 Ltd at:
Freepost RSLX-UCGZ-UKSS High Speed Rail Consultation PO Box 59528 London SE21 9AXOr you can email it to highspeedrail@dft.gsi.gov.uk. Ensure you provide your name, postcode and email address (if applicable), whether using conventional post or email, so that HS2 Ltd can attach this supplement to your original HS2 Consultation response.
If you have yet to send in your response, time is running out! All submissions must be received by 29th July 2011 - that is just 9 days away. It will only take 10 minutes to complete your response (and if you can get any other members of your family or friends to do it, all the better). Please bear in mind there is a 'yes to HS2' campaign running who will also be submitting their responses. Your response need not be complicated or time-consuming; the arguments against it are quite straight forward.
All you need to do is have the Quick Guide in one hand and the response form (hardcopy or electronic copy) in the other hand. Take a look at each of the arguments against each of the 7 questions posed and, in your own words, jot down the things that you feel strongest about or agree with the most for each question.
Don't forget, if you agree with our proposed compensation scheme please refer to it in your answer to Question 7 and attach it (if sending a hardcopy) to your form, or if completing the form electronically/online send a follow-up email with the compensation scheme as an attachment - giving the email address used for the online response form, your name and postcode as a cross-reference, to highspeedrail@dft.gsi.gov.uk .
It is important that you let your MP know your thoughts on HS2. Drop them a quick line saying that you have responded to the consultation and outline your views. If you don’t know who they are or how to contact them please go to: http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/. Mr Hammond may be interested in a copy too!
If friends and family, not on the proposed HS2 route, are willing to respond it is important that they do so. Their responses may carry more weight than those on the route. Just forward this email to them and ask for their input.
regards,
HS2 AA
